I can't get enough of this video. It isn't my intent to toot my own horn, but to tout the awesomeness and the amazing delivery of the reviews by a fellow indie author that is also a fan.
This is what it's all about. To hear someone else talk about how they feel about your work is priceless!
Thank you Adam Mitchell for your kind words, as scary as they are!!! :)
Fog is creepy just as it is. Imagine if there was a legitimate reason to fear it.
I started this series off with a jaunt into creepy and ended up making it down right scary. I had no idea homichlophobia was even a thing, or that I had it before writing this first book. I've never enjoyed being in foggy weather. The dampness of the air, the lack of visibility, and oh my god the way it rearranges everything around you! I know that tree is just a few steps away, but I've taken at least 20 and it's not where I left it! That all by itself sends me into a panic.
Welcome to Fogoyle! :)
Fogoyle: A Short Story just went wide and to celebrate, you can pick download it for free on your favorite devices! (It is still regular price on Amazon until they price match it).
It was the strangest fog he had ever seen. As a truck driver, he’s seen a lot of it. It’s no big deal. He thinks. When it swallows his entire rig and causes him to lose control, it’s a pretty big deal.
He’s happy to be alive and glad that no one else was around. It could have been a horrible scene. He thanked the powers that be and got back in his truck. That’s when horrible is redefined.
This was a fun read. My boyfriend at the time was a truck driver. Yeah, the story is loosely based on him. No, I wasn't mad at him at the time. lol
Let's go to the Blueberry Festival. It will be fun! That's what they thought. Then the fog rolled in.
My intent with this story was to expand the number of creatures in the story. I needed a bigger venue. I was thinking concert, or fairgrounds, but I just couldn't make either of those work. I went to a peach festival once. It was perfect. As soon as I changed the venue, the words rolled out like water. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
